Remarks   Pembury Road Police Station, with cells, adjacent courthouse, and accommodation for senior officers, opened in 1864. The cells replaced the two cages located in Castle Street (https://www.prisonhistory.org/lockup/tonbridge-cage/) and Barden Road (https://www.prisonhistory.org/lockup/tonbridge-cage-2/). Later replaced by a new building which continues to be used today.
