'Sculcoates Station. One of the cells is damp, but it was stated that this cell is very seldom used. Two of the cells are warmed by the fire in an adjoining kitchen, but there is no provision for warming the other cells. A new opening, which has been made for ventilation, is between a cell occupied by males and one occupied by females, so that prisoners of both sexes can converse. There is not any bedding.'
