Description

'Provides a photograph of Shrewsbury Street showing the lock-up (https://www.hodnet.org.uk/main/?page_id=7803#jp-carousel-7788). The description states: 'In the bottom right-hand corner of this picture was the local police “lock-up” – quite a distance from the Police House on Drayton Rd. (see above). This too fell out of use and is no more, but the first cottage on Station Rd. is thought to still have some of the brickwork from the rear of this structure visible in its gable wall.' The brickwork in question can clearly be seen when using Google Street View.'
